Salon 23 was born from a desire for simplicity; in design, staffing, and operations. The idea originated in June of 2005, and by the end of November that same year, our doors were open for business.

Our staff is focused on offering the highest level of service, technically and creatively, as well as exceptional client care in a clean and comfortable environment. We all work together, conferring on color formulation and assisting each other when the need arises, teaching and encouraging new skills and techniques.

Individually, and as a whole, we at Salon 23 are certain to meet and exceed every expectation you might have. Life is complicated; your hair shouldn’t be.

Jessica Campbell

For 35 years as a stylist – 16 of them as a salon owner – I’ve specialized in precision cuts on a variety of hair types (especially curly hair, like mine). It’s important for me to begin with a good consultation to understand my client’s desired look, maintenance abilities and lifestyle. These elements all contribute to the execution of a great cut.

As the manager of Salon 23 for the past 7 years, I have enjoyed building relationships with many great clients. I’ve worked in customer service for as long as I can remember and have received excellence awards in the field.

I have gone to Bb. University so I am familiar with the products and am able to help clients choose what is best for them.

I love working at Salon 23 because it feels like a family.

Meleah Hillman

I started my career as a stylist 12 years ago. After spending most of my childhood immersed in the industry with my mom, I knew it was the perfect fit.

I’ve trained with Schwarzkopf, Unite, Wella, Bumble and bumble, and Brazilian Blowout. I pride myself on listening to clients to ensure I can deliver the perfect result. While I consider myself a well-rounded stylist, I seem to have a proficiency with blondes. The most rewarding feeling is when my clients leave feeling confident about themselves.

In my free time I love discovering Richmond and all it has to offer.

Danielle Conrad

I’ve been doing hair for 10 years (and I’ve been hooked since day one). I love all aspects of being a stylist. I find passion in working with all hair textures and helping people discover and embrace their own hair.

Whether it be something that enhances natural color with balyage, or bringing your fantasy color to life…I welcome all your crazy ideas!

I’m very outgoing, patient, and understanding. I enjoy building relationships with my clients. Most importantly, I enjoy giving people the cut or color they’ve always wanted. I strive to make them feel truly beautiful and confident with their hair.

Life is wild, eat dessert first!

Doing hair is one of my greatest joys in life. I love interacting with different people and collaborating to find the best style, cut, or color to suit each client’s lifestyle and personality.

Having curly hair myself, I’ve always been curious about what makes hair behave the way it does. It’s one of the first things people see about you, so it’s important to feel comfortable and confident with your hair.

Whether it’s achieving a stellar cut, a beautiful color, or finding the perfect styling product, I’m here to help.

When I’m not in the salon, I enjoy being outside, working out, and spending time with family.
